
GuangXi is classified as one of China's five autonomous regions - the others been Inner Mongolia (NeiMenGu), NingXia, Tibet (XiZang) and XinJiang – and covers an area of 240,100 Square Kilometers (92,700 Square Miles).
Estimated total population is around 45 million made of “Han Chinese” and the Zhuang, Dong, Yao, Miao, Tong, Maonan, Yi, and Shui Minorities. GuangXi borders YunNan (west), GuiZhou (north), HuNan, GuangDong (east), Gulf of Tonkin (south) and Vietnam (southwest).
The most famous attraction in GuangXi is GuiLin & its “little sister” YangShuo right smack in the middle of its famous scenic karst hills and meandering LiJiang (River).
Other lesser known attractions are; Mount DaYao, the LeYe Craters, thousand year old Cliff Paintings near NingMing and “White Head Lungur” (ChongZuo Eco Park), all mostly neglected.
Other major towns in GuangXi are BeiHai, LiuZhou, WuZhou and NanNing the Capital.
